Buddha Thangka Painting
Shakyamuni is the Buddha of this historical period. He is a historical figure and founder of Buddhism. He was the son of King Suddhodana and Queen Maya Devi. He was born in Lumbini (Nepal) in 563 or 564 B.C. He attained Bodhi or enlightenment while sitting under the Bodhi tree at Bodh Gaya, India almost 2,500 years ago. Our small thagkas have a painting size of 6" X 8", brocade length of 20" X 13". All of our thangkas are mounted on silk brocades, painted in the traditional Tibetan style by our highly qualified Tibetan artists.
