Tibetan Engraved Singing Bowl Set
$89.95
Tibetan singing bowls date back to ancient times. Shrouded in mystery for centuries, the singing bowl is believed to be a powerful healing tool and today is used widely in meditation, yoga, therapy, and personal enjoyment.
Singing bowls are played by striking with a mallet, producing a warm bell tone. They can also be played by slowly rubbing a wooden mallet around the rim to produce a continuous 'singing' sound.
Our engraved singing bowl is handcrafted by monks in Nepal. This high quality bowl features a seven-metal composition, with Tibetan Buddhist symbols etched on the sides of the bowl. Made of seven metals, each represents planetary alignment; Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn. Five Buddha reliefs are raised on the inner bottom. Actual size may vary slightly, due to the hand-made process. This exquisite singing bowl measures approximately 5 1/2" in diameter and 3" tall. Weighs 2 1/4 lbs. This set includes a wooden mallet and sage green, silk dragon brocade pillow.
