This figure is from ancient tombs in China and dates back to the Ming Dynasty, circa 1368-1644 AD. This horse and rider are exceptionally detailed and beautifully sculpted. The horse and rider are covered in various colors of pigments and still have a great deal of the original pigment still remaining in shades of brown, rose and green. The rider's head is detachable. The condition of this piece is very good. It measures approximately 14 1/4" inches in height and 11" long. A certificate of authenticity is provided with purchase.
