This Japanese yukata robe features a classic navy blue basket-weave pattern.
The bold vertical striped design dates back to the 17th century and the famous Japanese actor, Ichikawa. The pattern reveals a sickle (kama), a circle (wa), and the syllabic character nu, to spell the word kamawanu. This translates into - "It doesn't matter". The humorous wordplay is characteristic of a strong-spirited person growing up in Edo, or modern-day Tokyo.
This yukata is made of 100% soft cotton for easy care and comfort. Machine wash cold for best results. It is perfect for use as a robe or a cover-up at the pool or spa. A matching belt is included. Made in Japan.
