What is sisal?

SISALSisal comes from the plant popularly referred to as an agave plant. A sisal plant lives 7 to 10 years and produces 200-250 usable leaves. Sustainably harvested from sisal plantation, no chemicals are used. The fiber of this plant is sometimes referred to as “sisal hemp” and has been traditionally used for making rope and twine.
