{"id":909,"date":"2012-06-07T02:08:14","date_gmt":"2012-06-07T06:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chopa.com\/blog\/?p=909"},"modified":"2012-06-07T02:29:37","modified_gmt":"2012-06-07T06:29:37","slug":"crown-chakra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chopa.com\/blog\/crown-chakra.html","title":{"rendered":"UNDERSTANDING YOUR CHAKRAS \u2013 The Crown Chakra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-916\" title=\"chakra7-1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chopa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/chakra7-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"146\" height=\"158\" \/>This month we explore the 7<sup>th<\/sup> and last of the seven energy systems, the crown chakra. \u00a0The Sanskrit name is Sahasrara which translates to \u201cthousand fold.\u201d \u00a0It is often seen as a lotus flower with a thousand petals symbolizing the opening of spiritual awakening.<\/p>\n<p>This chakra is located on the top of the head at the crown and its associated color is violet transitioning to white, symbolizing the blending of the seven chakras. \u00a0Its associated element is thought and fire and the musical note is B.\u00a0 The crown chakra\u2019s function is the assimilation of wisdom, divine enlightenment, and the integration of our spiritual self with our physical body.<\/p>\n<p>The crown chakra governs our faith and belief system and is a portal to our intuitive resources which ultimately controls our thoughts and actions.\u00a0 It is the pathway to a higher state of consciousness and as it becomes more developed, we move beyond being controlled by our ego and into \u201cconsciousness\u201d itself.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-917\" title=\"Chakra7-2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chopa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Chakra7-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"145\" \/>As the connection to our spiritual essence grows, life becomes more peaceful and harmonious.\u00a0 Daily challenges and worries easily fall away and the direction we seek to life\u2019s deeper questions and problems is attainable.\u00a0 People with an open crown chakra experience unconditional love, freely passing that on to others. \u00a0Life is fulfilling and joyful with a keen sense of clarity, meaning and connection to all life. \u00a0\u00a0The power of faith in this chakra drives your thoughts and actions turning dreams into reality and your intuitive resources ensure that the decisions you make will keep you safe.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever experienced a day when nothing seems to go your way?\u00a0 The smallest things leave you feeling frustrated?\u00a0 Feel off-balance or ungrounded?\u00a0 Can\u2019t make a decision when you need to?\u00a0 These are signs that your crown chakra energy is imbalanced.<\/p>\n<p>An overactive 7<sup>th<\/sup> chakra is often characterized by being overly intellectual.\u00a0 The inability to think for your-self and relying on others to give you direction becomes a dominant pattern.\u00a0 Often there is spiritual skepticism and a focus on material things to define satisfaction in life.\u00a0 Difficulty concentrating, depression, migraine headaches and apathy are also signs of imbalance.<\/p>\n<p>To balance your 7<sup>th<\/sup> chakra, climb a mountain! Find a quiet space to go within and reflect being mindful of the present moment. Set the intention to be aware of what is beyond you \u2013 to your consciousness.<\/p>\n<p>Do less!\u00a0 Simplify your day.\u00a0 Take that a step further and try doing less for an entire week, then an entire month.\u00a0 Use that time to meditate, pray and just spending time being in the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Visit places that offer a sense of calm, whether it is a park, the beach, or the mountains.\u00a0 Practice working with your connection to something special in your surroundings.
