Chimes of KyotoChimes of Kyoto by Woodstock Percussion. Bring the ancient sounds of Japan to your own backyard. With tonal precision these chimes are tuned to an ancient Japanese scale found on early zither or string instruments.
This soft-sounding and graceful chime is named for the Chion-in Buddhist temple in Kyoto, which houses one of the largest ringing bells in the world. The 74 ton bell takes sixteen Buddhist priests to gather the strength to swing the clapper.
Chimes are a perfect focal point for meditation. Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and has become ever more popular as a way to improve physical and mental well being.
