Five Buddha Singing Bowl Set

Tibetan singing bowls are well known for their mystical qualities. Singing bowls are multiphonic instruments, producing several harmonic overtones at the same time. The sounds produced when the rim is rubbed by the mallet is said to put the brain into a meditative state. This emits tones in the same wavelength as the brain, which helps to relax the mind.

Singing Bowls are often used as an aid or practice tool in meditation, yoga, music therapy, sound healing, religious services and for personal enjoyment.

This large singing bowl set is nicely detailed with five Dhyani Buddha's etched inside the bowl over a soft green background. Buddha is a Sanskrit word that means "the awakened one". Etched on the outer flat sided bowl are the eight auspicious symbols. This singing bowl measures approximately 10" in diameter and is 6" tall. This bowl has a long lasting resonance and is very easy to "play" or make sing. Bowls may vary slightly in design and size due to hand finishing. The set includes a satin brocade ring pillow and a wooden striker. Color of ring cushion and style of striker may vary. Made in Nepal.
