Hosho Fine Sumi Paper
Japanese rice papers are made with the extraordinarily long fibers from the Kozo (mulberry) bush making them very strong. This allows them to hold up to a variety of art processes. Hosho is a highly refined kozo rice paper that is known for its thickness, strength and fluffiness. One side has a smooth finish and the reverse is a rough finish. Printmakers prefer its aborbency, strength and versatility. Painters like it for ink, watercolor and lettering. Hosho is sometimes chosen for stone/monument rubbing techniques. Use Hosho for your finest Sumi-E creations. Package of 48 sheets measuring 9" x 12". Bleed resistant. Made in Japan.
