Noren-DragonfliesTo the Japanese, the dragonfly (Tombo) is an important cultural symbol and was believed to be the spirit of the rice plant and a harbinger of rich harvests. Akitsushmi, which means Dragonfly Island, is an alternative name for Japan. Noren are traditional Japanese cotton curtains, used to enhance any room or doorway. Noren are split in the middle so you can walk right through, and have a closed top seam to insert a wooden or bamboo dowel for hanging. Crafted in imported polyester fiber.
