Our mats are carefully crafted by weaving a double top layer of Igusa Rush Grass
and baking the dried rice straw fill at high temperatures.
They are then sewn together with a black fabric border, bound and by
organic twine. Our Tatami have a moisture resistant barrier at the
foundation. The traditional mat measures 90 cm x 180 cm approximately (35 1/2" x 70 7/8" x 2") with a weight of 49 lbs.
