The koi have symbolic meanings in Japan. According to legend, the koi are believed to swim upstream no matter what the conditions are. This represents perseverance. In Buddhism, it means courage. The strongest koi swim upstream until they reach the top of the waterfall, where they become water dragons. The koi represent good luck and abundance.
This shorter-length kimono is perfect for a bathrobe, loungewear, or as a cover-up at the beach or pool. The distinctive design in navy blue and white is made of 100% cotton. This robe has a side pocket and includes a matching belt. Made in Japan. Machine wash cold for best results.
This Happi Coat is available in size: Small/Medium.
Small/Medium, measures 42" in length and is designed to fit a man 5' 4" to 6' in height. The sleeve length is 12", the shoulder width is 24", and the girth is 50".
Girth is the entire width of the fabric from end to end, so this robe adjusts to many waist/hip sizes. It is designed to wrap around you and be tied with the belt for a comfortable fit. For length, measure yourself with a tape measure from the top of your shoulder, down your side, to determine where the length would fall on you. The Happi Coat will be shorter on taller men and longer on shorter men.
