This traditional samurai robe is expertly crafted from luxurious 100% shantung cotton. Shantung boasts a distinguished, ribbed weave that is as durable as it is eye-catching. Soft and breathable, the slubbed cotton offers a linen-like appearance that's both elegant and comfortable to wear.
Spun cotton fibers provide a weave design and a ribbed effect. Slubbed yarns or Tianzhu, as it is known in Japan, are woven into the material. This leading-edge technique produces a durable, nubby fabric that is soft to the touch, and breathable with an airy feel.
Our authentic Kimono is beautifully embroidered for a unique vintage touch. The back features a striking 6" square, with a satin gold "Samurai" calligraphy symbol, while the front is adorned with two red Sakura crests, one on each panel. A matching belt is included. Caring for this masterpiece is as effortless as its appearance. To preserve its unique features and ensure that it can be cherished for years, we recommend a gentle hand wash in cold or warm water and hang, and drip dry. Do not dry clean.
