The symbol of the never ending cycle, each bead in the mala counts a Sanskrit prayer or mantra, in sets of 108 repetitions.

How to use mala beads? Combining tactile and conscious awareness, the beads are moved sequentially in rhythm while breathing. Rather than focus on counting the repetitions, the practitioner uses the beads, one for each mantra for a total of 108.
